"Peerless Bamboo" Laminated Ply Sheets

As used by Nicholas Dattner and Co. Melbourne

"Established nearly a quarter of a century ago in Melbourne, Dattner's pioneered the use of native Australian hardwoods, regarded now as the finest in the world. In 1989 they showed the world for the first time the firey beauty of Redgum, the majestic eucalypt found typically on the banks of mighty rivers or the vast pastures of central Victoria. Only taken when they were old dead trees, this magnificent Australian hardwood has gone into some of the finest hand crafted wooden tables ever to be seen. Snapped up by eager buyers all over the world, these stunning Redgum tables have become highly collectable."

In the above photo... "Bamboo Queen Size posture slat bed, featuring a box construction using Bamboo boards as supplied by Bamboo Australia. Accompanying this range are single drawer bedside tables and light box, also a bedroom ottoman, consisting of two drawers and upholstered seat."

"Other accessories to this range include: storage boxes and serving shelf."

"This furniture range features box construction which enhances stability and reduces the need to use large sections of solid timbers. Bamboo offers a real alternative to Mountain Ash which is largely used within the furniture industry for creating lighter colored or blonde solid timber pieces. All bamboo in this range runs horizontally to give a modern and contemporary linear aesthetic."

"Bamboo is startlingly beautiful, stronger than steel in tension, stronger than concrete in compression and more stable than red oak. A renewable resource - its unique appearance, durability and environmentally friendly nature ensures its place among the world's select hardwoods."

- Keren Dattner

Nicholas Dattner and Co. now introduces bamboo furniture into its collection of highly desirable hand crafted furniture, for all general and commercial inquiries please visit their web site www.nicholasdattner.com/
