"Ox-eyed Bamboo" FEATURES: Prodigious grower. Dense clumping. Thick walled, straight and strong culms. Small shoots. China origin.

Looks like an overgrown B. multiplex and as such suitable for a high and dense hedge. Prodigious growth of annual culms could be used for heavy duty basket weaving or light weight trellises. Shoots too small to be economically viable.

A good shade plant for small animals. Every chook (chicken) pen deserves at least one! Internodes 30-40cm, good timber variety.
