Bambusa Longispiculata

"Mahal Bamboo"

FEATURES:

  • Long rhizome necks.
  • Wide open clump.
  • Indian origin.

Extremely long rhizome necks produce a very wide & open clump. Ideally suited for soil stabilisation on dam faces. In return makes an excellent shelter for the waterfowl.

Shoots not really harvestable & other species produce better poles even though the straight ivory striped greyish green culms with long internodes are really spectacular. Very picturesque.
